Oklava, Selin Kiazim and Laura Christie's first restaurant, opened in Shoreditch in 2015.
Oklava's menu focuses on the charcoal grill (mangal) and stone oven, serving innovative Turkish-Cypriot cuisine which takes up its rightful place in the modern culinary landscape.
Selin published her first cookbook, Oklava: Recipes from a Turkish-Cypriot Kitchen, in 2017.
Going back to her roots in her grandmother's kitchen, she has written recipes for long dinners with family and friends, creating a bold and flavourful vision of modern Turkish-Cypriot cooking.
